How to Check WAEC Result Online.
Unlike previous years where it’s mandatory to purchase a scratch card/pin before you can access your result, everything has changed. Now, candidates can now check their performance (result) using the Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination for their Result Checker PIN and Serial Number.
- The first step is to visit the WAEC 2023 result-checking portal at https://www.waecdirect.org.
- When it loads, type in your WAEC Examination Number in the box provided.
- Next, select your Examination Year i.e. 2023.
- You are also required to select your Examination Type i.e. SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT.
- Enter the Card Serial Number.
- Enter the Card PIN.
- Click the “Submit” button to get your 2023 WAEC Result.
How to check WAEC Result using SMS?
This method is a lot easier and works on any phone capable of sending an SMS. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) management disclosed that some candidates facing issues with either the waec portal to check result, or having internet issues, can quickly check their results using SMS.
Here’s how to check WAEC results using SMS as outlined below.
To do this, simply send an SMS to the WAEC official shortcode, using the format outlined below.
WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to 32327 as an SMS. There should no space in the message and it cost N30 only.
How can I check my Waec result via SMS?
WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to the short-code 32327 (MTN, Airtel & Glo subscribers)
For example:
Go to your message, create a new message, and type this (ensure you change the numbers to your appropriate details: WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2023 and send it as an SMS to 32327.
Important Note:
It is very important to note here that you are to follow the guidelines outlined above. Ensure that there should be no space in the message, or you won’t receive your waec result as SMS.
You need to have N30 minimum credit on your Simcard before the result will be sent to you. (Note that SMS Cost N30 Only).
How to Check WAEC Result for Ghana.

STEP 1: The first step, is to visit the Ghana result checking portal at Ghana.waecdirect.org.
STEP 2: Enter your Index Number.
STEP 3: Next, you are required to select the Type of Examination (e.g. WASSCE).
STEP 4: Select your Examination Year eg. 2023.
STEP 5: The blank box requires you to type in the Serial Number found on the Voucher.
STEP 6: Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher eg. 012345678912.
STEP 7: Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.
STEP 8: Make sure you click on the Submit button and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes depending on how fast your internet connection is.
I Can’t check/See my WAEC Result.
